Scope
This document specifies the test principles, testing instruments, samples, test procedures, measurement uncertainties of test results, test reports, and the conversion of other hardness scales or tensile strength values for determining the Leeb hardness of metal materials using seven types of impact devices, namely C, D, DL, D+15, E, G, and S.
This document is applicable to Leeb hardness testers equipped with impact devices of types C, D, DL, D+15, E, G, and S, as shown in Table 1.
