Scope
This document specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of asbestos-free fiber gasket materials made by the pickling method.
This document applies to sheet or roll materials used for making gaskets, which are mainly reinforced with asbestos-free fibers and supplemented with other asbestos-free fillers and adhesives. These materials are prepared by mixing, pulping, and pickling processes.
