Scope

This part of GB/T 20671 specifies the classification method, code definition, thickness requirements, and measurement methods for non-metallic gasket materials, as well as sampling and specimen adjustment. This part applies to materials made from asbestos, cork, cellulose, and other inorganic or organic materials combined with various binders or impregnants. It does not apply to rubber products, gasket coating materials, or multi-layered composite gasket materials. However, the single-layer surface materials of multi-layered composite gasket materials also apply to this classification system.
