GB/T 19355.2-2016 Zinc coatings—Guidelines and recommendations for the protection against corrosion of iron and steel in structures—Part 2:Hot dip galvanizing
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 19355 provides guidelines and recommendations for the general principles of hot-dip galvanizing corrosion protection for steel structural components. The protection of hot-dip galvanized layers for structural components depends on the galvanizing method used, the design of the structural components, and the specific use environment of the structural components. The use of additional coatings (outside the scope of this part of GB/T 19355), such as organic coatings (paints and powder coatings), can further enhance the protection performance of hot-dip galvanized structural components. The coating formed by the combined use of additional coatings and hot-dip galvanizing is called a "composite coating system". The guidelines and recommendations in this part of GB/T 19355 do not address corrosion repair during the service life of hot-dip galvanized layers of steel. For related project guidelines, please refer to ISO 129445.
