Scope

This section specifies the materials, processes, dimensions, and certain characteristics of hot-dip galvanized layers for M8 to M64 steel coarse-threaded fasteners, bolts, screws, and studs with performance grades up to 10.9, as well as nuts with performance grades up to 12. For fasteners with specifications smaller than M8 and/or pitches smaller than 125 mm, it is not recommended to use hot-dip galvanization.
