Scope

This part of GB/T 6183 specifies the type sizes, technical requirements, and markings of hexagonal flange-face locking nuts with fine-thread Type 2 non-metallic inserts.
This part is applicable to hexagonal flange-face locking nuts with fine-thread Type 2 non-metallic inserts, with a nominal thread diameter of D=8 mm to 20 mm, performance grades of Class 6, Class 8, and Class 10, and product grades of Class A and Class B. Class A is used for nuts with D≤16 mm; Class B is used for nuts with D>16 mm.
Note: This type of nut is equivalent to GB/T 6177.2 plus the effective torque section.
