Scope

This part of GB/T 6183 specifies the type sizes, technical requirements, and markings of Type 2 non-metallic inserts hexagonal flange face locking nuts.
This part is applicable to Type 2 non-metallic inserts hexagonal flange face locking nuts with thread sizes of M5 to M20, performance grades of Grade 8 and Grade 10, and product grades of Grade A and Grade B. Grade A is used for nuts with a diameter of D ≤ 16 mm; Grade B is used for nuts with a diameter of D > 16 mm.
Note: This type of nut is equivalent to GB/T 6177.1 plus the effective torque section.
