Scope

This standard specifies the requirements and test methods for teeth whitening cold light devices.
This standard applies to teeth whitening cold light devices (hereinafter referred to as "cold light devices", as defined in 3.1). In dental clinics, cold light devices provide a light source for the whitening agent coated on the surface of the teeth, allowing the whitening agent to undergo a chemical catalytic reaction under light irradiation.
This standard applies to cold light devices that use halogen bulbs and/or LED lamps as light sources.
This standard does not apply to cold light devices that use lasers as light sources.
