Scope

This part of GB/T 24818 specifies the special requirements for the passageways and safety protection of tower cranes (hereinafter referred to as tower cranes) defined in GB/T 6974.3.
GB/T 24818.1 specifies the general requirements for the passageways into the control cabin and other areas of cranes defined in GB/T 6974.1 during normal operation, maintenance, inspection, installation, and disassembly. The general principles also address the safety protection facilities of cranes to prevent personnel on and around the cranes from being injured by moving parts, falling objects, or rotating parts.
