Scope

This standard specifies the model naming and product classification of low-voltage stationary reactive power generators, their operating conditions, electrical wiring and component equipment, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as requirements for marking, nameplates, packaging, transportation, and storage. It is applicable to low-voltage stationary reactive power generators used in AC power systems with a nominal voltage of 1,000 V (1,140 V) and below, and a frequency of 50 Hz, which are designed to improve power factor and power quality.
