Scope
This standard specifies the structural types and dimensions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, and supply of soft-sealed gate valves for urban water supply and drainage (hereinafter referred to as gate valves).
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of gate valves for urban water supply and drainage with nominal sizes of DN50 to DN900 (where the nominal size is not greater than DN400, the nominal pressure is less than or equal to PN25; where the nominal size is greater than DN400 and not greater than DN900, the nominal pressure is less than or equal to PN16), a maximum operating temperature of 80°C, and a flange or socket connection type. The gate valves are made of ductile iron shells.
