Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, ordering guidelines, technical requirements, performance requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for steel pressure relief valves with flange connections. It also covers marking and labeling, and packaging and storage.
This standard applies to flange-connected steel spring-loaded direct-load pressure relief valves and pilot-operated pressure relief valves (hereinafter referred to as pressure relief valves) used in the petrochemical industry, with nominal pressures of PN20 to PN420, nominal sizes of DN25 to DN200, and set pressures not less than 0.1 MPa.
