Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 20501 defines the guidance elements that constitute the public information guidance system and the guidance information elements that make up the guidance elements, establishes the general principles to be followed in the design of guidance elements, and stipulates the requirements for the use of guidance information elements such as graphic symbols, directional symbols, text, and color, as well as related size requirements when designing guidance elements.
This part is applicable to the design of guidance elements in public information guidance systems in civil airports, railway passenger stations, public transportation hubs and stations, shopping venues, medical facilities, sports venues, hotels, tourist attractions, and neighborhoods, etc.
This part is not applicable to the design of guidance elements in road traffic systems and emergency evacuation systems.
