Scope
This standard specifies the calculation method for the energy efficiency design index of ships.
This standard is applicable to the calculation of the EEDI for the 12 types of ocean-going vessels listed in Table 1 of GB/T 30008-2013, the 3 types of domestic ocean-going vessels listed in Table 2, and the 6 types of inland waterway vessels listed in Table 3. It is not applicable to ships with diesel-electric propulsion, turbine propulsion, or hybrid propulsion systems.
