Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking of inflatable rubber fenders (hereinafter referred to as "fenders") used on ships and offshore facilities.
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of fenders used for side protection of ships and offshore facilities during berthing or anchoring operations.
