Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, operating environmental conditions, rated values, technical requirements, type tests, routine tests, special tests, and field tests for high-voltage DC conversion switches.
This standard applies to DC conversion switches used in DC transmission systems with voltage levels of ±800 kV and below, including metal return line conversion switches, ground return line conversion switches, neutral bus switches, and neutral bus grounding switches.
This standard also applies to the operating mechanisms and auxiliary equipment of these conversion switches.
