Scope

This standard specifies the seismic resistance requirements for high-voltage switchgear and control equipment, and clarifies the principles of verifying seismic performance through analysis, testing, or a combination of both. This standard applies to all high-voltage switchgear and control equipment installed indoors and outdoors in power systems with a nominal voltage of 3 kV or higher and a frequency of 50 Hz or lower, including their supporting frames rigidly connected to the ground.
