GB/T 2423.38-2008 Environmental testing for electric and electronic products—Part 2:Test methods—Test R:Water test method and guidance
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 2423 specifies the test methods applicable to electrical and electronic products that may be subject to drip, flush, or immersion during transportation, storage, or use. It assesses whether the sealing components of electrical and electronic products, such as casings and covers, can ensure the good working performance of the equipment and components after or during the water test.
The test methods specified in this part are not applicable to corrosion tests.
This part does not simulate the large temperature difference between water and the test piece, such as the increase in water intake caused by pressure changes and thermal shocks.
This part includes artificial rainfall tests based on natural conditions, but generally does not consider natural rainfall with strong wind speeds.
This part provides guidelines for the selection of tests and the application of severity levels.
This part can be used as a reference basis for product technical standards.
