Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements and methods for heat treatment of large forged steel parts after forging, including requirements for the forged steel parts to be treated, heat treatment equipment after forging, heat treatment processes after forging, quality and inspection of heat treatment after forging, shape correction, safety, hygiene, energy consumption, and product quality reports, etc.
This standard applies to the preparatory heat treatment directly carried out after forging of large forged steel parts used in heavy equipment in industries such as energy, metallurgy, and transportation, such as preventing white spot annealing, grain refinement treatment, and stress relief annealing.
