Scope

This standard specifies the inspection requirements, reference samples, inspection equipment, inspection conditions and procedures, judgment, inspection records, and reports for ultrasonic inspection of round steel.
This standard applies to the pulse reflection ultrasonic automatic or semi-automatic inspection of round steel with a diameter of 8 mm to 400 mm (including phased array ultrasonic inspection). Manual inspection and ultrasonic inspection of round steel of other specifications can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
