Scope

This standard specifies the classification and designation of nitriding steel, the content of orders, dimensions, shapes, weights, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates.
This standard applies to rolled, forged, and cold-drawn nitriding steel bars (hereinafter referred to as steel bars) with a nominal diameter or thickness not exceeding 250 mm.
