Scope

This standard specifies the classification, grades, order content, dimensions, shapes, weights, and allowable deviations of non-alloy steel and alloy structural steel used in cold heading and cold extrusion; technical requirements; test methods; inspection rules; packaging; marking; and quality certificates. This standard applies to hot-rolled wire rods with a nominal diameter of 5.0 mm to 60 mm and hot-rolled round steel with a nominal diameter of 12 mm to 100 mm (hereinafter referred to as "steel").
