GB/T 37751.1-2019 Residual current operated circuit-breakers for household and similar use—Part 1:Outline of blocks and modules for residual current devices standard
Basic Information
Scope
This series covers available public standards intended for use in combination with residual current devices (RCD) standards or for drafting RCD standards.
This part of GB/T 37751 applies to RCD standards drafted by means of independent modules and unit modules.
This part defines the methods and processes for drafting standards based on a new approach (hereinafter referred to as independent modules and unit modules), aiming to coordinate family standards to avoid errors, inconsistencies, or differences in family standards. The family standards considered in this part include general safety requirements for residual current operated circuit-breakers (RCCBs) without overcurrent protection, residual current operated circuit-breakers (RCBOs) with overcurrent protection, and residual current operated protective devices (RCDs) (namely GB/T 16916.1, GB/T 16917.1, and GB/T 6829).
This method defines an optimized approach to standard drafting, aiming to maintain common or similar structures, adopt common clauses as much as possible, avoid inconsistencies, and conduct only editorial work, thereby accelerating standard drafting and ensuring that opinions in one standard are also considered in other family standards when necessary.
The principles of the independent modules and unit modules method are:
——Identify the parts of the standard that need to be unified (or have limited differences) and the parts of the standard that should remain different;
——Establish a technical committee database for the common parts;
——Determine the parts that need to be published as independent standards;
——Use the technical committee database to draft product standards;
——Track the common parts in product standards when future revisions are required.
This part also lists the independent modules and unit modules applicable to the drafting of RCD product standards.
