Scope
This part of GB/T 18380 specifies the method for testing the vertical flame spread of single insulated fine electric wires or fine optical cables under flame conditions. The test equipment is specified in GB/T 18380.21—2008. When the test methods specified in GB/T 18380.12—2008 are not applicable, such as fine optical cables that may break during the test fire or fine electric wires whose conductors may melt, this standard recommends its use when testing fine optical cables or insulated fine electric wires with a total cross-section of less than 0.5 mm 2.
