Scope

This document specifies the structural type, materials, processing and assembly quality, non-destructive testing, balance quality, water permeability, roll surface rubber coating quality, and roll surface spraying requirements for cast iron rolls used in paper machines. It also describes the corresponding test methods and stipulates the requirements for inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage. This document is applicable to the production, design, inspection, and sales of cast iron rolls used in paper machines with a line pressure not exceeding 400 kN/m and a diameter of less than 1,800 mm (hereinafter referred to as "cast iron rolls").
