Scope
This document specifies three quantitative determination methods for the ionic halide content in soldering fluxes and one qualitative analysis method for ionic halides, including principles, reagents, instruments and equipment, experimental steps, experimental data processing, expression of experimental results, precision, and experimental reports, etc.
Method A in this document is suitable for Type 1 and Type 2 soldering fluxes defined in GB/T 15829, and serves as a reference method for soldering fluxes with a halide content of 0.05% to 2% (by mass) as non-volatile substances.
Method B in this document is suitable for the determination of the total halide content (excluding fluorides) in soldering fluxes defined in GB/T 15829 as Type 212 and Type 311.
Method C in this document is suitable for water-soluble soldering fluxes defined in GB/T 15829 as Type 321 that contain phosphate.
Method D in this document is suitable for the qualitative analysis of ionic halides in all types of soldering fluxes.
