Scope

This part of B/T 22188 provides ergonomic principles for the layout of control rooms, including the layout of control rooms, the arrangement of workstations, the use of visual displays outside workstations, and requirements, recommendations, and guidelines for the maintenance of control rooms.
This part is applicable to various types of control centers, including those in the process industry, transportation, and emergency service dispatch systems. Although this part is primarily applicable to non-mobile control centers, many of its principles are also applicable to mobile control centers, such as those on ships and airplanes.
