Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for optical radiation of household laser display systems (hereinafter referred to as the system), including the requirements for optical radiation safety classification, manufacturer requirements, and usage and maintenance requirements, etc.
This standard applies to the evaluation of the safety characteristics of optical radiation from lasers, incoherent light, and mixed light sources with a spectral range of 380 nm to 780 nm involved in household ultra-short-focus laser display systems. The evaluation of the safety characteristics of optical radiation from fluorescent light sources can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
This standard does not apply to the evaluation of the safety characteristics of optical radiation from laser scanning display systems.
