Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and contract content for aluminum alloy sacrificial anodes (hereinafter referred to as aluminum anodes) used in electric water heaters.
This standard applies to aluminum anodes produced by extrusion and casting methods for storage-type electric water heaters operating in fresh water, urban tap water, and other media. Aluminum anodes produced by extrusion and casting methods for hot water boilers and solar water heaters can also be used as a reference.
