GB/T 11026.8-2014 Electrical insulating materials—Thermal endurance properties—Part 8:Determination of thermal endurance indices(TI and RTE)of an insulating material using the fixed time frame method
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 11026 proposes experimental and computational procedures for deriving the heat resistance, temperature index (TI), and relative heat resistance index (RTE) of insulating materials using the fixed time limit method (FTFM). According to FTMF, the aging process will occur over a few fixed time periods, each using an appropriate aging temperature point. At the end of each corresponding time period, the performance of the sample will be measured. This method differs from the procedures in GB/T 11026.1, where the aging process is completed at a few fixed temperatures, and the performance measurement is conducted after the aging process. The diagnostic tests used in FTMF are limited to destructive tests. This method is not suitable for non-destructive or verification tests. According to FTMF, the TI and RTE obtained from the experimental data in this part comply with GB/T 11026.1 and IEC 60216-2, with modifications made. The computational procedures and statistical experiments are adapted from the corresponding procedures in GB/T 11026.3 and IEC 60216-5.
