Scope
This standard specifies the test methods and calculation procedures for the thermal performance of back-pressure and condensing screw expanders (groups) used for low-temperature waste heat power generation or driving purposes. This standard prescribes unified rules for test preparation, implementation, and evaluation, and also includes details of the test conditions.
This standard applies to screw expander units with working fluids of steam-water two-phase, saturated steam, or superheated steam, as well as double-cycle screw expander units with non-water as the working fluid (such as low-boiling-point working fluids).
If there are any complex or special situations not covered by this standard, manufacturers and buyers should reach appropriate agreements before signing the contract.
