Scope

This document specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of butyl rubber damping sheets. This document applies to damping sheets made of butyl rubber as the main material, with a viscoelastic adhesive film surface and a reinforcing layer of aluminum foil, non-woven fabric, or plastic film. These damping sheets are used in mechanical equipment, road vehicles, waterborne ships, and household appliances for vibration reduction, noise reduction, and sound insulation. The qualification determination of butyl rubber damping sheets for other purposes can be used for reference.
