Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for the installation and dismantling of tower cranes (hereinafter referred to as "tower cranes"), the installation and dismantling at the basic erection height,
the preparation before installation and dismantling, climbing, the installation and dismantling of attachment devices, the installation and dismantling of internal climbing tower cranes, the debugging of safety protection devices, and the debugging and acceptance after installation.
This standard applies to assembled top-slewing tower cranes. Other types of tower cranes can refer to it for implementation. It does not apply to automobiles, tire cranes, and crawler cranes equipped with tower crane devices. Nor does it apply to self-erecting tower cranes.
