Scope

This document specifies the requirements for the installation, dismantling, and climbing (hereinafter referred to as "installation and dismantling") of tower cranes (hereinafter referred to as "tower cranes"), including the relevant units and personnel for installation and dismantling, basic installation and dismantling regulations, preparations before installation and dismantling, installation and dismantling at basic erection heights, climbing operations for external climbing tower cranes, installation and dismantling of attachment devices, installation and dismantling of internal climbing (external hanging) tower cranes, and the commissioning of safety protection devices, as well as requirements for post-installation inspections and acceptance.
This document applies to the installation and dismantling of assembled upper-rotating tower cranes. The installation and dismantling of other types of tower cranes shall be implemented in accordance with this document.
Note: This document provides suggestions and guidance for the management of tower crane installation and dismantling operations, including the responsibilities of the units and suppliers involved in these operations, as well as the responsibilities and qualifications of relevant personnel.
This document does not apply to the installation and dismantling of self-erecting tower cranes and mobile self-erecting tower cranes.
