Scope

This part of GB 5959 specifies the special requirements for personal device safety related to devices with an electron gun (hereinafter referred to as electron gun devices). This part applies to all electric heating devices with an electron gun. This part also applies to prefabricated electron gun devices, non-heating electron gun devices using glow discharge, and high-voltage power supplies for electron guns. All requirements of GB 5959.1—2005 "Safety of Electric Heating Devices - Part 1: General Requirements" apply to this part. This part provides all additional requirements for electron gun devices in Chapters 6 to 16.
