GB/Z 37551.3-2024 Marine energy—Wave, tidal and other water current converters—Part 3:Measurement of mechanical loads
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the mechanical load measurement methods for marine energy conversion devices (MECs), including wave energy, tidal energy, and other water flow energy. It specifies the requirements for mechanical load measurement, including: site selection, selection of objects to be measured, data collection, calibration, data verification, load measurement conditions, capture matrix, post-processing, uncertainty calculation, and reporting requirements. This document also provides informative appendices that can be used for mechanical load measurement for other purposes, such as statistical analysis of measured loads, direct measurement of design loads, safety and functional testing, or measurement of component loads. Through technical verification, the test requirements in this document are applicable to specific marine energy conversion devices. This document also specifies the requirements for full-scale structural testing of subsystems or components, with particular attention to the full-scale structural testing of MEC impeller blades and the interpretation and evaluation of test results. This document focuses on describing the tests related to the evaluation of blade structural integrity to confirm that the entire installation and production of the blades under test meet the design requirements.
