Scope

This part of GB/T 19518 specifies the general and testing requirements for the application of resistance-type heaters in explosive gas environments. This part is applicable to resistance-type heaters used in explosive gas environments, which may include devices assembled in factories or on-site (construction sites). These devices may include series-connected heating cables and parallel-connected heating cables assembled and/or terminated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, as well as heating pads and heating boards. This part also includes the termination requirements and control methods for the use of heaters. The hazardous areas referred to in this part are defined in GB 3836.14-2014.
