Scope
This part of GB 19725 specifies the safety requirements and test methods for the design, structure, and use of portable side-mounted power brushcutters and lawn mowers (hereinafter referred to as the whole machine) powered by internal combustion engines and transmitting mechanical power to cutting attachments. This part proposes methods to eliminate or reduce various hazards arising during the use of brushcutters and lawn mowers, and stipulates the requirements for safety operation information provided by manufacturers.
This part covers all serious hazards, dangerous situations, and serious harm events related to the whole machine during normal use and reasonable misuse of the whole machine that can be foreseen by manufacturers.
This part does not apply to whole machines equipped with non-integral metal cutting attachments, such as chain or knife blades.

This part applies to portable side-mounted power brushcutters and lawn mowers manufactured after its promulgation and implementation.
