Scope
This standard specifies the method of determining the carbon and sulfur content by infrared absorption after combustion in a high-frequency induction furnace. This standard is applicable to the determination of carbon and sulfur content in vanadium-aluminum alloys. The range of carbon determination (mass fraction): 0.005% to 0.500%, and the range of sulfur determination (mass fraction): 0.005% to 0.050%.
