Scope

This standard specifies the test conditions, test equipment, sample preparation, test procedures, result calculation, and test reports for the low-temperature pulverization test of iron ore.
Note: The characteristics of the specified test method are: after isothermal reduction in a fixed bed using a mixed gas of CO, CO2, and N2, the pulverization test is conducted at room temperature using a tumbling drum; the samples have a certain particle size range.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the reduction pulverization performance of iron ore (including natural iron ore, sintered ore, and pellet ore, hereinafter referred to as iron ore) expressed as the reduction pulverization index.
