Scope

This standard specifies the general principles for the integrated nondestructive testing of materials and workpieces. This standard is only applicable to materials or workpieces that can implement two or more nondestructive testing methods. Various nondestructive testing methods can be performed in accordance with their respective testing standards, or in accordance with the testing standards of integrated nondestructive testing methods. This standard applies to integrated nondestructive testing methods that integrate multiple nondestructive testing technologies and become their main characteristics, but it does not apply to integrated nondestructive testing methods that integrate a single nondestructive testing technology with multiple interdisciplinary industrial technologies and become their main characteristics. This standard provides guidance for the development of integrated nondestructive testing standards or testing process procedures for specific products, equipment, and materials.
