Scope

This standard specifies the quality elements of digital geological data, the grading of defects, inspection items, acceptance and supervision sampling inspection methods, rules and methods for inspection and evaluation, as well as the process and implementation of data quality inspection and evaluation.
This standard applies to the quality inspection and control of data production processes involving the digitization of existing materials and the digitization of data collected in the field or on-site, the quality inspection and evaluation of data acceptance processes, and the supervision and inspection of data quality. It also applies to the preparation of relevant quality requirements in geological database (sets) construction specifications.
