GB/T 38943.3-2020 Earth-moving machinery—Electrical safety of machines utilizing electric drives and related components and systems—Part 3:Particular requirements for self-powered machines
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 38943 specifies the specific safety requirements for electrical equipment and their components of self-propelled (using on-board power supply) electrically driven earthmoving machinery (EMM).
This part applies to machines used outdoors that operate on AC power with a voltage range of 50 V to 36 kV at any frequency, and DC power with a voltage range of 75 V to 36 kV, including any pulsed DC power with a repetition rate.
The voltage inside the equipment is not the on-board voltage and is therefore not within the scope of this standard.
This part is used in conjunction with GB/T 38943.1, which specifies the general requirements for electrically driven earthmoving machinery, regardless of its power supply method. GB/T 38943.2 specifies the specific requirements for earthmoving machinery powered by external engines. For earthmoving machinery that can both self-power and use external power (such as battery-powered machines with built-in chargers that provide power), they should also comply with the requirements of GB/T 38943.2.
Note: For machines used on roads, automotive standards ISO 6469 and/or UN ECE R100 can provide useful guidance. For comparison requirements, see Appendix B.
