Scope

This part of GB/T 12706 specifies the type test and test requirements for accessories used in extruded insulated power cables with a rated voltage of 36/6 kV (72 kV) to 26/35 kV (405 kV) and meeting the requirements of GB/T 12706.2—2008 or GB/T 12706.3—2008.
This part does not include cable accessories used under special conditions, such as overhead cables, submarine cables, or marine cables, or accessories for hazardous environments (explosive environments, fire-resistant cables, or earthquake conditions).
Previously, products covered by this part were recognized only after passing national standard verification and/or satisfactory performance verification. This part does not invalidate existing recognitions, but products recognized according to these previous standards or specifications cannot obtain recognition under this part unless they undergo special testing.
If an accessory passes the test, these tests do not need to be repeated unless there are changes in materials, design, or manufacturing processes that may affect its operating characteristics.
The test methods are included in GB/T 18889—2002.
