Scope
This part of GB/T 12706 specifies the structure, dimensions, and test requirements for fixed-installation extruded insulated power cables rated at 35 kV used in distribution networks or industrial installations.
When deciding on the application of cables, it is recommended to consider the possible risk of radial water ingress. This part includes cables with so-called longitudinal waterproofing and radial waterproofing structures (see Appendix F for the test method).
This part does not include cables for special installation and operating conditions, such as those used in overhead lines, the mining industry, nuclear power plants (inside and near the containment shell), and those used underwater or on ships.
