Scope
Scope: This part of T/HLX 001 establishes the production procedures for paddy rice, the raw material for Huaian rice processing, and stipulates the general requirements for paddy rice production, transplanting techniques, field management, harvesting and storage, and describes traceability methods such as production archives. This part applies to the production of indica and japonica rice for Huaian rice processing. Main technical content: 1. Site environment: Refer to T/HLX 001.1-2018 "Huaian Rice - Part 1: Site Environment Requirements". 2. Variety selection: In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Seed Law of the People's Republic of China", to ensure the brand advantage of "Huaian Rice", it is proposed to "select rice varieties that are approved by national or local authorities or registered by seed industry consortia, and have demonstrated high yield, comprehensive resistance to pests and diseases, and excellent taste with a taste value ≥ 80". The seed quality shall comply with GB 4404.1. 3. Fertilizer use guidelines: Based on the requirements of rice growth and to ensure that rice is free from harmful elements, it is proposed that "the principles of fertilizer use shall comply with the provisions of NY/T 496 'Guidelines for the Rational Use of Fertilizers - General Principles' and GB/T 17420 'Micronutrient Foliar Fertilizers'"; "the use of chemical fertilizers that have not been registered by agricultural authorities is prohibited"; and "the use of fertilizers with excessive heavy metal content (organic and mineral fertilizers, etc.) is prohibited". The "Limit Indicators for Major Heavy Metals in Fertilizers" are listed in the appendix. To prevent the loss of fertilizer fertility, a "7-day safe drainage period" is specified. 4. Pesticide use guidelines: During rice growth, it is inevitable to encounter pests, diseases, and weeds. The rational use of pesticides can ensure the healthy growth of crops. It is proposed that "the use of pesti
