Scope
Scope: This part of T/HLX 001 specifies the terms and definitions, classification, quality requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, storage and transportation, and traceability information requirements for Huai'an rice. This part applies to the purchase, processing, and sale of rice processed from paddy grown in the Huai'an area, but does not apply to rice with added additives. Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions: To align with current standards, most terms and definitions in this part are referenced from the existing standards GB 1354《Rice》and GB/T 17891《High-quality Paddy》。For convenience, some terms and definitions from GB 1354 and GB/T 17891 are reiterated or listed separately. Newly proposed main definitions include: (1) Processing precision: To reflect the "nutritional characteristics of rice, promote energy conservation and emission reduction, and ensure moderate processing", the definition of "processing precision" is redefined. It refers to the degree of residual rice germ and surface and back groove residual skin layers after processing. It is divided into fine grinding and moderate grinding, and is compared with the national standard samples of rice processing to determine the degree of skin and germ residuals. Fine grinding: The back groove is basically free of skin, or the skin is not in a line. About 85% (±2.5%) of the rice germ and surface skin layers are removed. Moderate grinding: The back groove has skin, and about 75% (±2.5%) of the surface skin layers are residual. (2) Imperfect grains: immature or damaged rice grains that still have edible value, including: - Unmature grains: rice grains that are not fully mature and have a completely powdery appearance. - Insect-damaged grains: rice grains that have been eaten by insects. - Diseased grains: rice grains with disease spots on the surface. - Moldy grains: rice grains with mold spots on the surface. - Rough rice
