Scope
This standard specifies the inspection and test methods for the main technical performance of diesel locomotives before they are put into use after being manufactured. This standard applies to diesel locomotives with a track gauge of 1,435 mm and a speed of less than 200 km/h, which are powered by diesel engines and equipped with electric drive systems or hydraulic drive systems (hereinafter referred to as locomotives). Other similar locomotives powered by diesel engines may be used as a reference for this standard.
