Scope

This document specifies a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) in production planning, allowing for the comparison and monitoring of the production planning process within a standardized framework. Firstly, the use of KPIs is elaborated in detail, so that the indicators can be organized in a multi-level system considering the different scopes of the planning process. The development of a multi-level system is the core of this document. The scope of the planning process discussed in this document is limited to the production planning of series products. This approach only considers the tasks performed during the production planning process.
All the key indicators proposed in this document are recommendatory and can also be used according to the general effectiveness of the reference process in ISO 18828-2, and are related to the content described in this document.
