Scope

This part of GB/T 2878 specifies the dimensions and performance requirements of external hexagonal and internal hexagonal plugs applicable to the oil ports specified in GB/T 2878.1.
Plugs that comply with this part are suitable for a maximum working pressure of 63 MPa (630 bar). The permissible working pressure should be determined based on factors such as the plug's end dimensions, material, structure, working conditions, and application scenarios.
Hexagonal plugs that only comply with the dimensions specified in this part cannot guarantee that they meet the rated performance specified in this part. To ensure that the hexagonal plugs meet their rated performance, manufacturers should conduct inspections in accordance with the technical specifications specified in this part.
